Took way too long to get items frozen

This is my first stand up deep freezer after having several chest deep freezers. While I do like not bending over as much, I feel it does not get as cold as a chest freezer and initially took way too long to freeze items. Way longer than the start up instructions suggested. After this one, will be going back to my tried and true chest freezers.

Noisier than expected. Short on shelves.

It runs almost constantly which is apparently by design. It runs louder than expected but it is not horribly loud. I was disappointed with the number of shelves. My last freezer had a 4 inch drawer under one of the shelves which was ideal for smaller hard to stack items. This freezer has no drawers. It could really use an under shelf drawer or another shelf.

I am very pleased with my new Frigidaire freezer. The cold air delivery system is well designed to effectively provide cold air and not become blocked by the items stacked on the shelves. We did have a problem with the interior light not working when the door was opened. I called Costco and they connected me with Frigidaire tech support. A technician was scheduled to come to fix the problem. A magnet was missing from the door that activates the light. He replaced it plus glued it place. I was very pleased with the customer service exhibited by Costco and Frigidaire. The freezer is maintaining 0 degrees temperature perfectly while operating in my garage.

As stated in the title the upright freezer has been working great the last week. It's pretty quiet and has alot of space.My only qualm with it is the door scratches very easily. I place a level against it to check and it got scratched just when sliding the level off. Mind you mmi have the Carbon (gray) colored freezer. I cant speak on how durable the finish is on the white version. It was also delivered with 2 small dents on the side.

We bought this freezer for our garage specifically because it is supposed to have ™€œwarm temperature™€ and ™€œdoor open™€ audible alarms. Nothing worse than having your freezer go warm and losing hundreds of $$ in food. 22 months after buying this, everything in our freezer was lost. No alarm, no idea what caused it to warm up. After throwing $600 worth of meat away, I called customer service. No assistance (after being on hold for 45 mins). They would be happy to schedule someone to come out, for a fee. Sorry, but this freezer is supposed to work and alert when something goes wrong. I should not have to pay to find out why. Don™€™t waste your money like I did.

I am only giving 4 stars because the light does not work. I looked up how to fix it and I need a specific part and have just decided I don't need the light. The shelves are not quite as deep as my old Frigidaire so even though it is 20 cu ft, as is my old one, it seems a bit smaller inside. Other than those two things I am happy with it.

A great big addition to the basement! After struggling for years with cheap chest style freezers it has been so nice to switch to an upright freezer. During the changeover from the bottomless black hole I found elk meat from almost 4 years ago. Things get lost in chest freezers and I just don't think that will happen now. The internal lights are bright and welcome in our darkish basement. Very happy so far, and with this years elk already put up I'm surprised how easily we can add items and find what we are looking for.

Purchased the freezer from Nebraska Furniture Mart (NFM). After receiving the freezer, we unpacked and cleaned as directed. Plugged the freezer in and within minutes it began to cool. Two day later, we went to transfer the food from the older freezer to the new, and the new freezer had quit working. We unplugged the freezer for several minutes and then plugged it back in. After a while the alarm sounded, letting us know the freeze was not cooling. We called NFM, they are replacing the freezer with exact model.

In July 2024 we purchased this upright garage ready freezer. It worked for 6 months. The compressor was replaced. It work for 2.5 months. Compressor was replaced again. It worked for 2 weeks. After 6 months Frigidaire replaced it with a new one. The brand new one doesn't work either! Still don't have a working freezer! This one is full of 3" ice crystals. So sad to pay almost a $1,000.00 & have no freezer! I would never recommend buying a Frigidaire freezer!

This is a quality freezer and good value. If I'm looking for negatives, I'd say it was an involved process to reverse the door opening direction and the instructions were terrible. I still figured it out but not because thee instruction manual made it easy. Also, the door does not have a solid closing feel, so it's a bit easy to leave it cracked. I've had to be intentional about making sure it's firmly closed after leaving it partially cracked once.
